26 Years Old
Munster U19s, U20s, A, Development, Sevens. Irish Clubs and Universities
Brian is our club captain this year and although he’s had a tough time with injuries recently, he’ll return to play soon. He’ll look to further increase the tempo which we play at and look to lead on the field as much as he leads off it.

Munster U18s, U19s, U20s, A & Irish U18s, U19s, 7s
Colm is certainly one of the younger members of the squad but what he may lack in years he certainly makes up for in confidence. Making his debut last season, he carried on the tradition of Trinity fullbacks who hail from Glenstal, and threw caution to the wind at all opportunities, disregarding all convention in order to entertain spectators and teammates alike. This flair paid off and Colm will return to us after a summer of playing with Munster, after his eye-catching displays earned him a starting berth in the Munster Academy XV
Masters in Philosophy, International Peace studies, University of California, Berkley
7s All American, MVP Collegiate Rugby Championship 2016
Jesse has come to Trinity to undertake a masters in peace studies. He joins a long list of American players who have graced the turf of College Park. When graduating from Berkley he also majored in art with peace studies.. Another man of many talents!
Evan joins his brother Kyle this season after plying his trade with Kilkenny RFC for the past couple of seasons. He is coming off the back of travelling Europe playing 7s so we are all hoping he can bring some of that flair to College Park this coming season
Sports Science Graduate
Irish Universities, Connacht U20s
Panda is now a stalwart of Trinity rugby having played here for the past 6 years. A strong carrier with ball in hand and a solid scrummager who fancies himself as the Navan Sonny Bill. Known for his silky skills he is more often seen throwing 20m skip passes than he is hitting rucks! Despite his tough exterior, we all know Panda has a heart of gold and is really a big softie; all evidenced from his social media presence.
Canada U20s, Ulster U20s
The Hamburglar as he likes to be known is a man of many talents. Apart from being an extremely talented rugby player he is also reknowned for his exploits on the stage. Patrick is an integral members of Players and has just set up the Musical Society of Trinity. Our all singing, all dancing hooker also has an intersting relationship with food and in particular dairy. He has been known to eat an entire viennetta ice cream cake, without cutlery, on a LUAS, on his own and to wash it down with 2 litres of milk..
23 Years Old
Jack graduated last year with a great degree in NeuroScience. He is a true leader on the field and his insatiable hunger for work inspires all those around him. He is looking to lead from the front and once again dominate at lineout time.
Computer Science and Business
Raef is the hard man of the pack, bringing a grit that is so vital in a college side. Never a man to back down, his sanity borders on unstable. The entire club is somewhat scared of the guy and we all know its best to keep our distance when he gets the look in his eyes… We surmise it could stem from him remaining nameless for the first year of his life
Leinster U18s, U19s
Kyle made his debut on the firsts last year as an U20s player and looked at ease. This year he has graduated from the U20s ranks and is looking to become an integral part of the Trinity midfield. He is a supremly skilled player, not a bash it up centre as his size suggests and looks to spark attack from all areas of the pitch
Fraser joins us for the year as he completes an intern year during his studies in Queens, Belfast. The reasons behind his nickname “Chuckles” is no mystery. He lives by Coach Noel Hehir’s mantra and is always playing with a smile on his face. Blessed with speed off the mark and great feet, Chuckles is often seen stepping his way through kinks in a defence, pearly white’s shining!!
Munster 20s Irish Universities
Tom Ryan has a knack for finding the tryline, aiding Trinity’s rise through 1B last season with 8/9 tries. Something you may not know about Tom is that he has a secret passion for opera, travelling to London a couple of times a year to observe various classics performed in the West End
Clongowes Wood College
Leinster U20s, Irish Schools
Rowan is in his second year of trinity rugby having helped the 20s win the JP Fanagan league last year, he is now pushing for a place in the first 15. What rowan lacks in size he makes up for with his pace. A nippy scrumhalf that loves to run, he also possesses an accurate pass. Rowan will certainly not be out of his depth in 1A if he is called upon this season
Clongowes Wood College
Ireland Clubs, Ireland Universities
To say Jack is an outhalf with an eye for a break would be an understatement. He might not be the most traditional of outhalves but his ability to get over the whitewash makes him an invaluable member of the team. While he is lethal on the pitch, his ability doesnt extend to the after match celebrations and can often be seen in deep conversation with anyone he can corner after 3 and a half pints!
Human Health and disease
Clongowes Wood College
Leinster U20s, Germany
Sebastian has been a stalwart of the Trinity backline for the past 2 seasons, when fit…. Seb has unfortunately been plagued with injury but has spent as much time off the pitch than on it. A behemoth in defence, and lethal in attack after his time playing 7s. We just hope he can drag himself away from the physio table for 80 minutes once a week….thats all we ask Seb!
Pierce has returned after a sabbatical where he played he played across the river and then across the pond. He will be bringing vast experience to the team from his time playing pro rugby. He is a perfectionist that demands nothing but the best from everyone around him which is exactly what we need entering this new division
Business and Management
Leinster U18s, U19s, Ireland U20s
Bolly is one of the great characters in the team, constantly providing amusement whether it be what he says or what he wears. Bolly has a superb second season with Trinity u20s, a part of the winning JP Fanagan team and was rewarded with a call up to the Irish 20s, playing in the 6 nations and the World Cup where Ireland fell just short. Bolly will aim to challenge Eric for the starting loosehead job, were lucky that we have such a problem
Cian is an athletic second row who always likes to get his hands on the ball. The summer he spent in the U.S has served him well as he has finally put some bulk onto his long frame! This extreme weight gain has had some side effects however, namely when Cian is in the presence of the fairer sex. He offers a great option as a ball carrier and will be looking to cement a place on the team after some eye catching performances last year.
Vittorio fills the neccessary requirements to be a second row in Trinity being a past pupil of Blackrock College. The big Italian is a slick lineout operator.
Liam joins us for the year while he is on placement in Dublin. He brings with him vital experience of playing 1a rugby with Garryowen that will be invaluable in the coming season. He is a hard running hooker who also has a great ability to hit his darts
Bryan is looking to step up to the mantle as s key member of DUFC’s backline. A winger with electrifying pace and clinical finishing power, he will be hoping for a season similar to last years where he contributed many trys helping the under 20s to Leinster League victory
Leinster U18s, U19s and 20s, Irish Universities and Irish U18s
Michael is mature beyond his years and has truly shown his leadership qualities over the past couple of seasons. A hard running centre who never takes a step back. Not much of man for a joke but he makes up for his subdued demeanour with his knowledge and interest in politics and current affairs.
Economics & Geography
Munster U18s & 19s, Leinster U20s
Jack is a proud member of the “Ravens” crew and despite his young age has been around the senior squad for what seems an age now. He is a man of principle and will always stand up for what he believes in, no matter the consequence. This year, in addition to playing he will be taking up the role of coaching the Womens team. We would like to wish the Womens Team every luck with him as their coach. Injury has plagued Jack for the past few years and we are all hoping for a clean bill of health for the season.
Leinster U17s, U18s, U19s & U20s
Eric nailed down a starting position in Trinity’s front row last season, developing into one of the teams strongest ball carriers and dominating opposition tightheads as the Trinity pack rumbled through 1B. Eric turned down a chance to be an extra in the hit TV show Vikings this summer luckily for us.
Sam graduates fully from the U20s this year having already made his mark on the 1st XV in previous seasons. Never a man to pay any respect for his own well being, Sam launches himself into every tackle and makes every kilo he has count. In attack his step is an ankle breaker and is a great asset at the tail of the lineout. A man with a fiery temperment, he is a good lad to have in the heat of the battle
TSM Mathematics and Economics
Leinster U17s & U19s
Dermott is a true club man having served his time as Student Officer last season. He was also a valued memeber of the 1st XV despite a number of injuries that disrupted his season. He is the ultimate thief on a rugby pitch, averaging 27 turnovers a game. Rumour has it he once stole all the gold from Fort Knox without anyone noticing, and then dropped it all on his way out!
Our man from the west Fintan, is a man of passion. Never to approach a task without putting his heart and soul into it. This includes voicing his opinions to refs and letting the opposing supporters know whats right. He is a proud Connacht and Mayo supporter and tearfully quotes the day Connacht won the Pro12 as the happiest day of his life so far!
