Conor graduated from Trinity in 1982 with a degree in Business Studies, having earned 2 Colours – despite having had the misfortune of missing the Colours match through injury in his year as captain of D.U.F.C. The D.U.F.C. tour to Japan in 1981 had a major impact on Conor’s CV, leading to him completing a Masters in Japanese Commercial Policy at Shensui University. He maintained his contribution to D.U.F.C. however as coach of the McCorry Cup winning U.19 team in 1983-84.

His sojourn in Japan led to him being recruited by Barclays Capital, where he worked in Tokyo, London and New York. He then joined NCB where he was Head of Fixed income before becoming CEO and leading an MBO and subsequent sale to Investec. He is currently CEO of the National Asset Management Agency (“NTMA”), having been appointed in January 2015.

Conor is a fomer Director of the Irish Stock Exchange and a former member of the Trinity Foundation Board.
