There was a dramatic finish to DUFC’s trip to Highfield as a try at the death by Oscar Cawley saw Trinity secure a bonus point win in Cork. FT Highfield 20 v 26 DUFC.

Trinity travelled down to Cork in a re-organised game from the week before. In windy conditions, the students came out playing their distinctive brand of rugby from the kick-off. Defensively the students put their bodies on the line, and kept the massive Highfield pack to only two driving maul tries. Trinity scrum-half Oscar Cawley had a big day scoring the 1st and 4th tries for Trinity and providing the last pass for the 3rd try for Kofi Barton- Byfield. The 2nd try of the day came from Aidan Henry.

The game ultimately went down to the last play when Trinity scored wide out after multiple phases of attack.
