Terenure took the spoils on Saturday, exacting revenge for their loss at the same venue on April 16th. The Dublin 6 outfit were far too well organized for the Students at a very wet College Park on Saturday.

The Trinity XV which featured 11 changes and five more on the bench, struggled to get cohesive against good defence from Terenure.

The intent was good but the execution was sadly lacking on the day for Trinity. The Students showed glimpses of good rugby on attack but that was it. They struggled at the point of contact all game, and will have to work on that component going forward.

Terenure scored four tries, two off driving mauls and two off turnovers against the run of play punishing sloppy Trinity attack. They were well deserving of their win, and will be a force in Division 1A this season.

Trinity play UCD in Belfield next week, UCD had an impressive win in Young Munster on Saturday.
